Elizabeth Jane was known as Lida. She was born in 1879 and married in 1894. She and her husband Charles, known as Edward, lived near Macksburg, OH, where they had 6 children, all of whom lived to adulthood. However, to improve the schooling for their children, the family bought the house formerly owned by David Putnum on Harmer Hill, in Harmer, near Marietta, OH. In 1953, the house was sold to the state and torn down to make room for the new Rte. 7 highroad. Lida then moved to Newport, OH, where she lived with her daughter Ruth and her husband Floyd Cady till she died.
