CSA Enlistment: Geo. W. Aaron enlisted in Company G, 1st Ark. Cavalry, June 17, 1862, 33rd Ark. Infantry.
DEATH: In 1863, George Aaron was sent home with a very bad case of measles. He died at home and was buried in the Powell family's burial plot which is on the eastern edge of Jacob Powell's original land, patented March 2, 1857.
George W. Aaron is listed as dead on the list of "Soldiers of Hempstead County Indigent Families 1862-1864". His wife, Sophia (Powell) and son John C. Aaron are shown as dependents.
