Eliza Jane (Bell) Tripp was born February 1861, in Hibbert township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Alexander Bell and Margaret Parr. Eliza was married 1st (19 Feb 1878, Wingham, Huron County, Ontario, Canada) to Thomas Maxwell Parr, (18 September 1849-3 April 1907) They came to America from Canada in 1886. Eliza J. Parr, 36, married Fred J. Tripp, 48, on the 18th of January 1899 in Spokane, Washington. Thomas, Eliza and Fred were early members of the Spokane Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

At the age of 48 years, Eliza Jane Tripp died at the residence, at the corner of Regal street and Eleventh avenue, Monday, leaving a husband, Frederick J. Tripp.
The body is now in charge of Smith & Co. and funeral services will take place from the family residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Elder Smith is to officiate and interment is to be made in Greenwood cemetery."
