William B. "Bill" Adams, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, September 16, 2010, William B. Adams, Jr., husband of Mrs. Gayle M. Adams and son of the late William B. and Virginia Stoker Adams.

Mr. Adams was a native of Bloomsburg, Pa. and moved to Augusta in 1963. He was a graduate of Augusta College and a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Adams retired after 30 years of service with the Social Security Office. He was a Vietnam Veteran, member of the 319th Transportation Co. of the Army Reserves. Mr. Adams took great pride in owning his grandfather's 1931 Model A Ford and was a member of the Shade Tree A's car club.

Family members include his wife Gayle; daughter and her husband Pam Stewart and Andrew from Augusta; granddaughters Avery and Harper (to whom he was Pop-Pop); brother in law and sister in law Allen and Paula McLeroy of Hephzibah; uncle and aunt Edward and Betty Adams of Melbourne, Fla.
