Ester Lee Kernells 79, husband of Una Mae Townsend Kernells of Cannery Road Woodruff died December 30, 1982 from a heart attack at his home in his sleep. He was born in Augusta Georgia the son of the late Henry Rexter and Evie Presley Kernells they later moved to Oconee county SC.
He was the retired caretaker at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens near his home and retired textile employee after 35 years at Reeves Bros. No.2 (Mills Mill)
Also surviving: Sons William, Robert, Ansel and Wilson of Woodruff; daughters Margie Kernells and Mrs. Beatrice Nix of Woodruff, Mrs. Grace Couch of Canton Mich: brother Clyde Kernells of Woodruff, sister Mrs. Susie Wright of Fork Shoals: 12 grandchildren, nine great children. Pre deceased by a son Clayton H. Kernell.
