Born Dec. 22, 1874 in Maury Co., TN., she went by "Eletha" (usually pronouced "el-EE-thuh" though her husband pronounced it "LEE-ther"). Her parents' only daughter, out of eight surviving children, she was raised in Texas after 1876 (though father's 1915 recollection puts the family in Texas in November 1874, just before her birth).
Eletha was married at age 18 in 1893 to John Brown GRAHAM, a younger brother of Louisa Jane Graham, who had married Eletha's older brother Ruff back in 1878. For many years, Eletha kept in her possession the T.J. Turnbow Family Bible, whom she passed on to her daughter. At the births of their children, the Grahams were living in Bridgeport, Wise Co., TX. (1894) and Gibtown, Jack Co., TX. (1896-1898). Sometime in the 1950s, they moved to Ardmore, Carter Co., OK., where they spent their remaining years
