William Frump was born Feb. 7, 1818, died Oct. 28, 1893, aged seventy-five years, eight months and twenty-five days. He was married to Julia Wolfe, Nov. 15, 1838. To them were born ten children. Eight are still living, with their widowed mother to mourn the loss of a companion and father. He joined the M. E. church under the pastoral charge of Rev. Henry Turner, in 1834, was ever faithful in the service of the Master for fifty-nine years, and died in the faith of the gospel. Uncle Billy, as he was called, was a true man, a good neighbor and respected by all who knew him. His funeral was held Oct.30, at Pisgah, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Surnier, after which he was laid to rest in the Pisgah cemetery to wait the trumpet call.
