PERKINS, A.M. - Father A.M. Perkins was born in Broom county, New York June 16, 1821 and died in Washington county, Arkansas April 29. 1902 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bay, five miles west of Springdale. Bro. Perkins was converted at the age of 13 and joined the M.E. church and remained a faithful member until his death. He suffered great afflictions in his last days and was more than willing for the end to come, after having been a soldier of Jesus Christ for nearly 70 years. In 1847 he married Harriet Doolittle, to them were born eight children, five are still living. Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. church by the pastor, T.W.
