Young Farmer Meets Accidental Death
Broken Bow, Neb., Aug. 28 - The body of Grant Morris, young farmer residing one mile west of Comstock, was discovered lying in the field near his home by threshermen, late Tuesday evening. Death resulted from injuries sustained in a runaway accident a short time previous. Medical aid was at once summoned, but death had already occurred when the body was found.
Morris, who was aged about 22, was a tenant on the farm property known as the "Florida" farm, one mile west of Comstock, Neb. At the time of the accident he was returning from his wheat fields where he had been assisting in the threshing. He was driving a team of horses attached to a wagon. Another team, hitched onto the back of the wagon evidently became frightened and started to run. It is believed that young Morris was run over by the horses, causing internal injuries which resulted fatally. He was single and had been living alone on the farm. Nothing is known as to the whereabouts of relatives.
