Robert Danzl, 70, Brainerd, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born in St. Cloud on Sept. 4 [sic - 14], 1928, to Bernard and Veronica (Nohner) Danzl. He married LaVonne Mary Habstritt on Sept. 9, 1950. He worked in the sheet metal trade throughout his life. He was employed as an estimator at Thelen Heating and Roofing in Brainerd. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks, Eagles and Moose clubs, LOE and the Minnesota Friends of the Orphan North.
Survivors include his wife; seven daughters, Sheryl Crosgrove Tollefson, Nisswa, Paula Danzl Wheeler, Brainerd, Maureen Jensen, Brainerd, LaNita Mortenson, Starbuck, Lisa Danzl-Scott, Bozeman, Mont., Janice Sawyer, Brainerd, and Jane Danzl Christofferson, Waseca; four sisters, LaVerne Schille, Inver Grove Heights, LaDonna Reisdorf, Avon, Darlene Heltemes, Bovey, and Mary Blehr, Kensington; two brothers, Leo Danzl, Princeton, and James Danzl, Osakis; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His parents, three infant children and a son, Mark Danzl, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
