Ariel Allen Cole passed away on Sept. 14, 2010, at the Weston County Manor. She was born Jan. 4, 1920 to Ross W. & Lorella Allen in Newcastle. She was the second of five children and lived her life to the fulleset on the Canyon Springs Ranch in Weston County. She graduated from Newcastle High School and went on to teach school after her Normal Training in Gillette. She Taugh at seven different schools around the prairie area. She loved teaching!

She married Roosevelt F. Cole on Oct. 8, 1945, after he returned from World War II after serving four years in the Army Air Force. They built and lived in their home in Newcastle all their lives. Roosevelt passed away in July of 1988, and Ariel continued living in their home until illness made her move to the Manor two and a half months ago. They had three children, Larry Allen, Gary Ross, and Nancy Ann.

Ariel was a very gifted and talented painter, poetry writer & crafter along with letter writing to friends and family across the U.S. She was a very hard working wife and mother, never complaining and always staying busy. She created a wonderful home and life for her family. She had many friends and loving family members and will always be remembered by her kindness and loving gestures. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons, Larry(Shirley)Cole; Gary(Sheila)Cole; a daughter, Nancy (Jim) McVay; grandchildren, John, Jenny, Kristofer, Jason, Wendy, Bryan, and Christy and their families; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ervin (Rose) Allen as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ross and Lorella Allen; her loving husband Roosevelt; and siblings Ross L. Allen, Anna Marie Rawhouser, and Lorna Darlene Hansen.

As per her wishes, no funeral will be held and private memorial services will be held at a later date.
