George Franklin Halverson, 71, of 126 N. Orchard St., long active in the implement business, died early today at a Madison hospital after two weeks' illness. He was born in Medina, Dane county, and married Flora Cobb, Dec 7, 1892 at Sun Prairie, For many years he was with various implement companies, and had been manager for the B. F. Avery Co., in Madison and in Oshkosh. Survivors are the widow; four sons, Lynn H., Marquette, MI, Ellis C., Highland, IL; Maynard, Indianapolis, IN, and Robert, Evanston; and three daughters, Mrs. Harry Melton, New York City; Mrs. David Lindstrom, Urbana, IL, and Ruth, Madison. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Sunday in the University Methodist Church, the Rev. C. E. Weed, River Falls, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Guy R. Nelson. Burial will be at Sun Prairie. The body is at the Dyrud Funeral Home.
