FLORENCE -- James Edward Wood, 80, of Florence, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday at a Florence hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tucker officiating.
Burial was in Grange Hall Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Buddy Wood of Athens and Talmadge Wood and Robert Dale Wood, both of Florence; a daughter, Mrs. Nannie Sue Nichols of Muscle Shoals; two sisters, Mrs. Gussie Waldrep of Decatur and Mrs. Ruby Sherrill of Town Creek; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
