Mrs. Clara Edith Cariens, 47, wife of Ted Cariens, died at Geff. Burial in Bestow cemetery. She was the daughter of William and Nancy Jane Shreve and was born March 7, 1906 in Johnsonville. She married Ted Cariens in 1925. They had five children. She leaves her husband, one son, Clifford, of Cisne and four daughters, Mrs. Bert Withrow, Mrs. Jimmie Griffith and Linda Darlene all of Geff, and Doris Farra of Rockford. She also leaves three brothers, Otto of Fairfield, Carroll of Barnhill and Vern of La Cleda, and two sisters, Ida Watson of Cisne and Grace Rogers of Johnsonville. One sister, Lois Bales, died in 1938.
