Luther Garner, 84, 1321 Blankenship Road, Jamestown, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Russell County Hospital.
He was the son of the late Arthur and Pearl (Garner) Garner).

Survivors include his wife, Pearlie (Coffey) Garner, Jamestown; two sons, Glen (Becky) Garner and Wilbur (Sandy) Garner, both of Jamestown; one daughter, Leta (Lewis) Gwinn, Campbellsville; one brother, Cordell Garner, Jamestown; and two sisters, Reba Hammond, Jamestown and Christine Welch, Louisville; two grandsons, Grad (Leah) Antle and Brandon (Tiffany) Garner; one granddaughter, Marenda (Jerry) Massengale; one great granddaughter, Zoe Massengale; and three great grandsons, Matthew Bennett, Kobi Stapp and Kayden Garner.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Carlie, Robert and Rufus Garner.

Mr. Garner was a retired farmer and laborer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 8th at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Richie Curtis and Bro. Garnett Hammond officiating.

Burial in the Dixon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Micky Garner, Roger Garner, Wayne Garner, Eli Bledsoe, Randall Hammond and Mike Mattingly. Honorary pallbearers were Haven Coffey and David Coffey.
