Wm. Carey died at his home on West 2nd St, Thursday night March 19 about 10
o'clock after an illness of only 3 days. He was born in Clay co Mo, Aug 8, 1855
and moved to this place with his parents in 1870 and resided here the remainder
of his life.
He leaves a wife, six sons, 2 dau and 3 bro, Al of this city, Sam of Kansas
City and John of Oklahoma, all of whom were present at the services. The
funeral was hold at the residence Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Luther
Underhill, of William Jewell College. The remains were laid to rest in the
Holden cemetery.
