The Horn home on Zig Zag street presented a scene of sorrow last night. Grouped about the front of the home were neighbors, awed by the tragedy, speaking only in whispers. Inside the mother in a screaming hysterical voice, prayed. Not so long ago the only son of the family was killed by a train near Spartanburg on his way home.
[Edited portions relates Lillie Stalvey family info]
Surviving the dead woman are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Horn of 857 Zig Zag street, with whom she made her home, and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hiburn and Mrs. Lucille Hoover, both of Columbia, and Mrs. Ruth Tolison of Surrency, Ga.
She is said to have been married four years ago to Logan Finklea, who also survives.
Although definite funeral arrangements have not been completed, it was said last night that burial would take place in Salem Baptist churchyard, near Woodford.
