Hilda Mae Sims died 9/11/2010. She was born in Woodside, La. Hilda was widowed when her husband Edward Beachman, a Captain in the Merchant Marines, in the was killed in action during WWII. She became a nurse and married Charles A. Sims her husband of 42 years. Her husband's job moved them first to Baltimore, Md. and then to the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pa. She was an active volunteer for the Girls Scouts of Delaware County. She worked as a secretary/nurse at several places. They retired in Baton Rouge. She is survived by sisters, Thelma and Wilma Musmeci. Also, survived by her daughter, Coral Kelso and grandsons Bryant and Jeff Taylor.
