Mrs. Helen Grace Fountain Borries, 81, of St. Martin died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at her home.

Mrs. Borries was born in Biloxi and was a resident of the St. Martin Community for 46. years. As a loving wife and mother, she was once a Girl Scout Leader, a member of St. Martin's Senior Citizen Organization, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Borries was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Borries, Sr., father, Willie Fountain, mother, Emma Lepre Fountain, son-in-law, Phillip Levine, Sr., daughter-in-law, Teresa Conroy Borries, sister, Miriam Spragio, brothers, Carl Fountain and Larry Fountain, and granddaughter, Malorie Sheckells.

She is survived by her daughters, Patti Levine and Emma (Reggie) Barrett; sons, Oscar J. (Donna) Borries, Jr., and David Borries (fiancé, Jill Mercado); five grandchildren, Phillip Levine, Jr., Shellie Levine (Bobbie) Maughan, Patrick (April) Levine, Josh (Crystal) Sheckells and Emily Sheckells; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Mrs. Borries' special caregivers, Anita Brewer and Mary Parker, and her nurse, Carla with Camellia Home Health Care, for the loving attention they gave their mother.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
