Yates City – H. Louise Eldert, 91, died at 3:34 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
She was born December 3, 1918 in Galesburg, to Orrin and M. Isal (Upp) Turner.
She married Raymond D. Eldert on March 19, 1939 in Knoxville. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include two children, Marlene (Joe) Schenk and Rayma (Kenn) Larson; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, several nieces and nephews, and many special neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Louise retired from Proctor Hospital, where she worked as a L.P.N. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, and will be dearly missed.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Yates City Cemetery, with Rev. Mary Babcock officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BYE Ambulance.
