OIL EXPLOSION IS FATAL TO WOMAN

Mrs. Harold Baskins, 32, Victim of Accident at Home Near Cedar Falls.

Cedar Falls, la.—Burns suffered in the accidental explosion of kerosene, a can of which fell on the kitchen stove when she brushed against a shelf, caused the death here Saturday of Mrs. Harold Baskins, 32.

Oil Covered Her Clothing

Mrs. Baskins was burned late Friday afternoon at her home on a farm, five miles north of here on highway 218. When the can exploded, the flaming oil covered her clothing and tho others of the family gave prompt assistance in checkng the flames, she was severely burned about the body.

The funeral will be Tuesday with services at 2 p. m. at Washington township United Brethren chapel. Rev. A. W. Phillips, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the chapel cemetery.

Irma Morgan was born April 7, 1901, in Washington township. Her marriage to Harold Baskins took place April 23, 1924. Survivors include the husband, two sons, Keith, six, and Duane, three; her parents, Mr, and Mrs. John Morgan; three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. George Varco. Waterloo; Mrs. Kenneth Pattee, Janesville; Mrs. Rodney Baker, Roger Morgan, Paul Morgan, Cedar Falls.
