HARTFORD CITY – Cindy Kay Maddox, 51, died at unexpectedly at 9:47 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. Cindy was born on June 11, 1956 in Wabash, Indiana to Eugene England and Yvonne Sue (Lindzy) England. Cindy was a 1974 graduate of Warsaw High School and attended Indiana University and Ball State University. Cindy married John Richard Maddox Jr., on January 17, 2004 at Vera Mae's Bistro in Muncie. Cindy was a homemaker, mother and wife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an avid reader. Cindy had a true love for the beach. She was a member of the Columbia Club of Indianapolis and the Blackford Golf Club. Cindy will be sadly missed by her husband John Richard Maddox Jr. of Hartford City; father Eugene England of Silver Lake, IN; mother Yvonne Sue England of Warsaw, IN; daughter Laura L. Forbes, Colorado Springs, Colorado; sons, Trevor S. Forbes of Hartford City; John Daniel (Friend – Kelsey Cooper) Maddox of Hartford City; Timothy R. Maddox of Grand Rapids, Michigan; brothers Dennis England of Warsaw; Kim England of Warsaw; brother-in-law Scott Shanley, Manchester, Connecticut; nephews, Chad England and Nicholas Shanley and niece Kirsten Shanley. Her sister Vicki England precedes Cindy in death. Visitation for Cindy will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, 312 West Washington Street, Hartford City. Funeral service for Cindy will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Hall and Rev. Lloyd Hall from Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Hartford City Cemetery on the Maddox family lot.
