Lester moved to Prosser in 1924 and married Polka Robinson. He was employed at Anderson Motor Co., Grandview and worked during World War II at the Hanford Atomic Works. He married Cheryl Swope on November 1, 1968 and farmed in Grandview and Omak, retiring in 1978.
Lester had one daughter Betty Jean Carter and one so Bill Abel. One sister Pearl Keene and three brothers Dale, Layton, and Ralph. He was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Abel in October 1975 and one son Leslie and two brothers Dick and his twin Chester.
