1.) JOHNSON FUNERAL HELD MONDAY FROM THE FUNERAL HOME
Burton Johnson, the l2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, passed away at the Decatur County Hospital September 12 following an emergency appendectomy. Burton was admitted to the hospital on September 4. Services were held at White Funeral Home and burial was at Rose Hill.

Although he was a student at Green School, Burton also had many friends in the Lamoni schools as he was a pupil here for four years.

2.) BURTON LEWIS JOHNSON
Burton Lewis Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, was born November 28, 1927, near Lamoni, and departed this life at Leon, September 12, 1941, at the age of 13 years, 9 months, and 12 days.

He was a member of the Church of Christ having been baptized by his father, August l8, 1940, at Lamoni.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his father and mother, two brothers, and a sister; one infant sister preceded him in death. He also leaves one grandfather, one grandmother, a great-grandfather, and two great-grandmothers, as well as many other relatives and many friends.

Burton was considerate of others and had implicit faith and trust in God. He bore his sickness with great courage never ceasing to trust Him all through his affiliation and suffering.

Services were held Monday from the White Funeral Home with Elder Frank H. Stanley as the minister and assisted by James Roberts. Interment was at Rose Hill
