Alfred Franklin Burgess aged 75 of Jorden died on March 28, 1981. He was the son of Joseph Burgess and Jane Taylor Burgess. he was a Christian.

Survivors include his wife, Rena Elma Langston Burgess of the home; 2 stepsons, Monroe Lee Ingram of Magnolia, Ark. and Doyle M. Ingram of Independence, Mo.; one step-daughter, Mary Jo Boyd of Calico Rock; one brother, Oscar of Calico Rock; one sister, rita Lawrence of Calico Rock. Also 4 step-grandchildren. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral was at Calico Rock Baptist Church Tuesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemeteey in Calico Rock. Howard's in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Walter Boyd, Roland King, Steve Blankenship, Junior Gillihan, Clifton Gillihan, Kent Lindsey, Buck Raby and Noel Morehead.
