He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Fannie Louise Croucher VanWinkle; three sons, Randy Lee VanWinkle of Mt. Vernon, and James Ray VanWinkle (Tanya) and Billy Joe VanWinkle (Amanda), both of Climax; two brothers, William Henry VanWinkle (Genevie) and Bennett Albert VanWinkle, both of Orlando; and five sisters, Elizabeth Baker of Climax, Hazel Baker (Jesse) of Orlando, Christine Couch (Troy) of Ohio, Barbara Ballinger (Jerry) of Flat Gap, and Sara Jane Hammond (Steve) of Berea. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Randy Colby, Kaylee Renea, Devon Lee, James Robert, Logan Hunter, Jayce Anthony, and Bailey Jo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a baby sister, Lily Belle.
