The son of Earl and Lois (Vaughn) Adams, he was born June 26, 1938 in Russellville, AR. He married Doris Jean Watkins, on June 1, 1962 at Dardanelle, AR. He was an Inspector with Firestone for 22 years until his retirement. Most recently he worked with his son at Lefty's Gun and Pawn in Dardanelle. He attended First Baptist Church in Dardanelle and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Adams of Dardanelle; one son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Melinda Adams of Dardanelle; one daughter, Sheila Adams of Dardanelle; one granddaughter, Abigail Adams, of Dardanelle; his mother, Lois Adams of Dardanelle; two brothers and sister-in-law, Richard Adams, Ray and Kathy Adams all of Dardanelle; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Adolph Ragsdale of Dardanelle; one brother-in-law, Jim and Mary Watkins of Ruston, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Vickie and Mike Jackson of Dardanelle and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral was held on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Dardanelle with Reverend Milton Cowling officiating. Burial was at Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service.
