IDA BAENSCH

Mrs. Ida Baensch, 86, widow of Judge Emil Baensch, who died in 1938, died
suddenly late Wednesday afternoon at the home, 610 North Seventh street. She
had been about the home during the day and was stricken shortly after 3 o’clock
in the afternoon, dying an hour later.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Frazier mortuary chapel.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Baensch, nee Ida Koehler, was born in this city in 1860 and in 1882 was
married to Judge Emil Baensch, former lieutenant governor of the state and
founder and head of the East Wisconsin Trustee company until his death nine
years ago.
Mrs. Baensch was active in the Eastern Star for many years.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Walter Pitz of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Amanda
Damler of St. Paul; three grandchildren, Robert Brown of this city, Edward Brown
of New York City and Donald Pitz of Detroit; and two great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
