John Ellerton/Elarton lived in Seneca Co. but was buried in Lykens Twp., Crawford Co. He and his wife were both natives of Virginia. He was my 3rd g-grandfather on my maternal side. Coming to Seneca Co. from Pickaway Co., OH about 1850 his family settled with other early families in southern Seneca Co. He is listed in the Seneca Co. History of 1880 as a pioneer settler in the area. One of his sons Samuel R. Elarton served in the Civil War and was a casuality of the war and Libby Prison.
