Billy Lee Adams, 61, of Olney, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 4, 1994, at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Elder Jim Walston officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Richland County Recreational Council.
Adams was born May 5, 1933, in Vincennes, Ind., the son of George W. and Bessie (Stivers) Adams. He married Helen Griefzu Nov. 8, 1952.
He worked in the oil field and was also employed by Champion Laboratories in West Salem. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in West Salem.
He is survived by his wife, of Olney; three sons, Tony Adams and his wife, Pam, and Billy Ray Adams, all of Olney, and Gary Adams and his wife, Rhonda, of Mt. Carmel; three daughters, Sherry Pile, of Sebree, Ky., Mrs. John (Donna) Price, of Vernal, Utah, and Mrs. Brian (Janice) Ellis, of Olney; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Adams was preceded in death by his parents.
