Anna was the daughter of William E. (1857–1934) and Friedericka (nee Schmalbeck) Hasemann (1861-1923). She was the sister of Minnie Hasemann King, Otto Hasemann, Rudolph A. Hasemann, Sophie Hasemann, William Charles Hasemann, Elizabeth Hasemann, and Amelia Hasemann Stoll. She was the wife of Edwin DeWitt Grey.
