Emma Nunn

Mrs. Emma L. Nunn, 83, 409 N. Pearl Ave., died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday in a Joplin nursing home where she had been a patient five months.

Mrs. Nunn was born June 28, 1890, in Hale, Ky., and had lived in Joplin since March, coming here from Kansas City. Prior to that time she had lived in Weir, Kan., and Cherokee, Kan.

She was a member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple and the Gold Star Mothers.

Her husband, James M. Nunn, died Aug. 4, 1944.

Survivors include six sons, William F. Taylor, Kansas City, Thomas J. Taylor, Liberty, Richard E. Taylor, 409 N. Pearl, Ave., Robert L. Taylor, Walla Walla, Wash., Don J. Nunn, Gladstone, and James E. Nunn, Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Mina Hoover, Kansas City, and Mrs. Clara Lauffer, Phoenix, Ariz., and 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary.

The Rev. Frederick W. Bastian will officiate.

Burial will be in the Miami, Okla., GAR Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at the mortuary.
