Mildred Imogene Flanagin, 91, of Pawnee City, Nebraska was born on July 28, 1905 in Pawnee City to Charles and Mabel Barker Avery and died Friday October 18, 1996 at Pawnee County Memorial Hospital. she had been in failing health for some time.
Mildred received her education in Pawnee County.
Mildred was married to Harris Stone and to this union one child was born. Harris passed away early in his life.
Mildred was married to Iiron Flanagin and to this union five children were born. They lived in Pawnee City except for two years spent in New Hall, California. Iiron passed away in 1967 and Mildred continued to live in Pawnee city.
Mildred was a housewife and a cook in the Pawnee City Schools and the Star Cafe. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her six children and two step-children: Russell Stone and wife Jackie of Oakhurst, Calif.; Calvin Flanagin of Pawnee City, Nebr.; Alberta Hill and husband, Herb, of Soap Lake, Wash.; Jim Flanagin and wife, Marge, of Shawnee, Kansas; Dave Flanagin and wife, Betty, of Bennet, Nebr.; Lewis Flanagin and wife, Carole, of Hickman, Nebr.; Gary Flanagin and wife, Stephanie, of San Juan, Calif.; and Charleen Hinrichsen and husband, Ivan, of Dawson, Nebr.; 27 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
