William Ralph Barre, 66, of Pesotum, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at his residence.
Visitation at Freese Funeral Home at 407 N. Bourne in Tolono. Funeral services at the funeral home with Reverend Brent Phillips officiating.
Mr. Barre was born on August 10, 1937, in Olney, the son of Ralph and Bertha (Doney) Barre. He married Barbara Vaughn on August 19, 1956, at Assembly of God Church in Olney. She survives.
He was employed at Goodyear Tire Co. in Champaign, Bernies Tire in Urbana and Kelley Vault Co. in Urbana.
Mr. Barre is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Pesotum; three sons, W. Jeffery Barre, of Deep Water, Mo., David Barre, of Monticello and Richard Barre, of Ottumwa, Iowa; four daughters, Cynthia Perry, of Hadley, Pa., Barbara Barre, of Friendswood, Texas, Sonja Reeves, League City, Texas and Joyce Cassell, of Charleston; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Charles Barre, of Monticello; and a sister, Phyllis Harms, of Monticello.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
