Bertha Barre, 87, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, March 6, 1997, at Kirby Hospital in Monticello.
Services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, with Rev. Dennis Wilkins officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.
Barre was born Nov. 29, 1909, in Richland County, the daughter of Amos Arthur and Sarah Samantha (Salter) Doney. She married Ralph Barre Jan. 24, 1930, in Olney. He preceded her in death July 11, 1995.
She was a cook at Parkersburg School and was a member of Parkersburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Barre, of Monticello, and William Barre, of Pesotum; one daughter, Phyllis Harms, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Earl and Arthur Doney, three sisters, Stella Hudson, Edith Wagner and Glennie Haller, and one great-grandchild.
