Fred is my 1st Cousin 2 Times Removed to me. He is the only child of Peter Becker & Mary (Vogel) Becker. Fred married Geraldine M. Seals before 28 Jun 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri. Fred and Geraldine have four children. The one thing I will never forget about him, is that he raised Parakeets. I have vague memories of a large cage filled with parakeets in his garage. At least I think it was a garage. I never saw so many at one time. They were so beautiful & to hear so many squaking & chirpping in one place, just amazing. I think I was so amazed at seeing so many at one time, my brain held onto that memory. My Dad also raised Parakeets, & if I'm remembering correctly, cousin Fred gave him his start up stock of birds. Fred's mother Mary(Vogel) Becker was one of my maternal Great-Grand-Aunts. I almost forgot to add this. Mom said he also raised Orchids. Beautiful large white ones. He gave one to all the girls in the family upon high school graduation. By the time I graduated his health was preventing him from caring for so many. So I didn't get one but it didn't matter to me. Just watching my Mom talk about them was enough to make me realize he was a warm and caring person. For Pete's sake he raised Parakeets. I think that says it all. Don't you?
