OBITUARY:
Funeral services for George Kenneth Colvin, 75, will be at 2pm Tuesday at the Engelbrecht Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Tschetter officiating.
The body will lie in state this evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Bridgewater City Cemetery with military rites with the Morrison-Weber Post 111 of the American Legion in charge.
Mr. Colvin was born Dec. 18, 1893 in Brule County to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Colvin and died Jan. 25 at a Mitchell hospital.
He had served in World War I and on Mar. 21, 1920 married Blanche Willoughby. He had farmed in Bemidji, Minn. area and for the last year had lived in Mitchell.
Survivors include two sons, Donald, Minneapolis, and Jerrold, Canon Falls, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Faith) Henrichs, Donnely, Minn.; three brothers, James, Mitchell; Jack, Bridgewater, and Jay, Plankinton;
Four sisters, Mrs. Audrey Miller, White Lake; Margaret Colvin, Rapid City, and Mrs. Ray Vosberg and Mrs. Helen McNary, Mitchell, and 8 grandchildren.
