John Alvin Albert, age 74, Route 4, Greeneville, died Friday morning, August 25, 1989 at Takoma Adventist Hospital in Greeneville.

He served 20 years in Venezula with the Creole Oil Company and after returning to the U.S., he served eight years as superintendent of the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Greeneville, the Star in the West Masonic Lodge #40, AF&AM in Red Lodge, Montana, the Carbon Chapter #20, Royal Arch Masons of Red Lodge Montana, Scottish Rite, Tacoma, Washington, and the Kerbela Shriners Temple, Knoxville/Greeneville Masonic Lodge #3, F&AM.

The eldest of three children of John and Maud Mae (Andrews) Albert, he was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Manila C. Albert, and one brother, Donald Albert.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Anna Albert, four step-children, John R. Wilber, Joan Boutwell, William Wilber and Patricia Harrell; several step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Russell of Red Lodge, Montana. John and his wife, Ruth, would have celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on Saturday, the 26th of August.
