Her funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, Ga. O'Connor Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
Leona was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Breckenridge, Mo. She attended high school in Marshall, Mo., and eventually attended trade school in Colorado to become a printer.
She married Robert W. Cassity in Bentonville, Ark.; they divorced in 1974. In October 1975, she married Richard W. Boyd in Rockville, Md., and they were together until he passed away on June 19, 2000.
Leona worked in Arkansas, Colorado, Helena, as a printer for the Great Falls Tribune, and then for The Washington Post in Washington, D.C., until she retired in 1985.
She was a member of the Great Falls Senior Citizens Center. She had many hobbies, including going to yard sales, bingo, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing the organ and especially spending time with family.
Leona is survived by 2 daughters, 3 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her twin sister.
