She first married Ulrich "TJ" Tobler on Dec 12, 1928 and they had six children: Ulrich Walter Jr., Jack Edward, Alvin Leroy, Elsie Fay, Nellie Bee, and Ruby Eoler.
She next married J C Thornton and they had three children: Albert Ellis (1949-1999), Richard J and Freddie.
