OBIT: Jonathan Martin Roudebush - Death Due To Apoplexy - Jonathan Roudebush, who lived four miles out of Ray (Illinois) in Christian Neck neighborhood, died suddenly Tuesday evening fron a stroke of apoplexy, just as he had returned from Rushville. Mr Roudebush who was sixty-six years of age had driven to Rushville that afternoon in a buggy, and when he arrived at home and started getting out of the buggy, he was suddenly stricken, and died shortly afterward when Dr. V. M. Cornman had been called to give medical attenion.

OBIT: Jonathan Martin Roudebush, the youngest son of Christian Pierce and Margaret Jane Roudebush, was born in Schuyler County (Illinois) (died) March 4, 1924 at 5 p.m., being at the time of his death 65 years, 11 months and 25 days old. Death was due to apoplexy. He was united in marriage to Nora Fulk, March 5th, 1886 and to this union eight children were born: Ethal, Leona and Edward having preceded him in death. In the summer of 1918 the deceased suffered a stroke of apoplexy, from which he never recovered, though he was able to be about most of the time until the end. Mr. Roudebush was converted several years ago and later joined the Free Methodist Church at Christian Neck (7 miles east of Rushville on Hwy. 24), remaining a member until the end. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife and five children: Mrs. Minnie Redman, Dal (Dallas), Alva ("Bob"), Delbert ("Deb"), and Clarence and four grandchildren. Also two brothers and one sister in Tennessee; James of Rushville, and Mary Stockwell at Plymouth (Illinois), besides a great number of old friends and neighbors.
