Edward C. Tjaden, 70, of 525 W. Eighth was found dead about 9:30 a.m. yesterday at his home by his son.
He was born near Benson Feb 27, 1904, a son of Harm and Hannah Woltzen Tjaden. He married Alvina Warnkes at Benson Nov. 23, 1933. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Harold of Minonk; two daughters, Mrs Robert (Marilyn) Milashoski of Streator and Mrs Melvin Lee (Lorene "Peanie") Robbins in Spain; two brothers, Lester of Washington and Louis of Hudson; two sisters, Mrs Fannie Hansen of Streator and Mrs Pearl Kelsey of Genoa; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Mr Tjaden was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
