Miss Grace M. Kennedy Dies
Girard Woman, 77, Broke Hip in January; Rites Monday.
Girard, April 26--Miss Grace M. Kennedy, 77, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at Mt. Carmel hospital. She suffered a broken hip January 31 and had been a patient at the hospital since that time.
Born December 27, 1875 in Shirley, IL, Miss Kennedy had lived in this district more than 65 years. She had made her home in Girard most of this time.
Miss Kennedy had been at the Roeber rest home, 1807 South Locust, prior to entering the hospital.
Survivors include one brother, Don Kennedy, Alpena, Ark., and several nieces and nephews.
Miss Kennedy was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Dorsey chapel.
