"Rites for Mrs. Slawson Saturday - Mrs. Curtis Slawson, 83, died Thursday May 7, 1959 at her home in Plainview following a lingering illness of the past few years and a recent stroke.
The former Lucy Church was born Nov. 22, 1875 in Clintonville, Wis. She married Curtis Slawson at Wabasha on Jan. 8, 1894 and they lived continuously in Plainview. Mr. Slawson died in 1953.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Vida) Coan of Clearwater, Minn.; a son Lyle Slawson of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Okrueg of Goodell, Iowa; Mrs. Amelia Bemis of Humbird, Wis.; Mrs. Rachel Olmsted of Clintonville, Wis., five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren."
