SWEAT, Fred Carlton, 80, d. Thurs. 4 Mar. 1999 in Houston, Tx. Native of Waycross. Grad. of Uni. of Ga School of Law in 1940.

Military service (5 years): Lt. Colonel in Armored Forced, primarily the Seventh Armored Div.; saw active duty across France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. His proudest wartime experience was serving every day of the Battle of the Bulge, where he was awarded the Silver Star for valor. Also held Bronze Star and several battle stars.

Survived by dau: Randal S. Poole. Burial in Chapel of Memorial Mission Mausoleum, with Forest Park Funeral Home in charge.
