Archibald Inglis was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 11 October 1849. He was the third son of Archibald Inglis, MD, FRCS, Edinburgh and Isabella Weir Inglis. Archibald immigrated to Canada in 1873. He married Charlotte Douglas Gordon born in Madeira, Portugal on 27 July 1874 in New York City, at the Church of the Transfiguration Catholic Church.
They lived in Montreal, Canada where they had three sons. His wife and all three boys immigrated to Jacksonville Florida over time. After Charlotte left, he moved to Mayne Island, British Columbia, Canada and became a farmer.
He out-lived his wife and all his sons, died in Victoria, B.C. in 1937.
Archibald Inglis was my great-grandfather.
