Jessie was a small women with dark eyes and black hair,her skin was olive she had native American blood in her line. I remember going to see her a few times as a young girl with my parents. Her grandfather Jacob Whiting was a Native American & my sister remembered seeing a picture of him hanging on her wall in a full headress. Other then that I have not much proof. Except my grandmother remembered the funeral of Clarissa Whiting Ross. she asked her mother in law ,Clara Ross Vincent , who they all were when a whole wagon full of Native Americans came to the funeral in their native dress.
