2383. Spencer Phelps, b. Chesterfield, Mass., 24 May, 1782, m. Mary Kenneippe, 1804. She was of Dutch descent and was born near Mt. Tom, Mass., 13 Dec 1784, d. Kirtland, Ohio, 22 April, 1851. Mr. Phelps settled in Northampton, where he resided up to 1807, when with his family he removed to Leroy, then to Kirtland, Ohio. He died at Mentor, Ohio, 11 Sept. 1865. He served in war of 1812.
