Leonard Gwen Abner, 63 of Broken Bow died Monday in an Idabel Hospital. Service were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hochatown Church, with Rev. Luther Murphy officiating. Burial was in Hochatown Cemetery.
Abner was born April 12, 1912 in Oklahoma and had lived his entire life-time in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Abner, two daughters, Carol Ann Abner and V--- Marie Abner, two step-sons, Don Taylor of Houston and Winfred Taylor of Mansfield, Texas, a step-mother, Mrs. Hester Abner of Broken Bow, two brothers, Lloyd Abner of Broken Bow, and Marcus Abner of Ogden, Utah. Three sisters, Mrs. Edna Meddock of Idabel, Mrs. Maxine Bowers of Grand Blane, Mich., and Rosie Shoults of Broken Bow, and four step-grandchildren.
