In Her Death Kitchener Loses Only Woman Member Of World Executive

With the passing of Dr. Sara H. Detwiler, whose funeral took place yesterday. Kitchener lost its only woman realdent with the distinction of being on the world executive of an organization. Dr. Det wiler was on the executive committee of the World's Woman's Christian Temperance Union as superintendent of the Travellers' Aid department for the world.

In addition to holding office on the world executive of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union Dr. Detweller held the same office in the Dominion W.CTU and also in the Ontario provincial organization. And although Dr. Detwiler had the honor of being chosen to head a department in the world executive of her chosen organization she did not hold the first link in the chain, the local union - beneath her interest. For a number of years she served as treasurer of the Kitchener Union the members of which credit her with the Kitchener Union's success in meeting its financial obligations year by year.

To her activity as world superintendent of travellers' aid Dr. Detwiler gave unstintingly and unselfishly of her time, energy and devotion often declaring. "there is no other organization better fitted to develop this work than the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and there is no other phase of social service effort which produces better results for the amount of energy expended."
